Upcoming concerts….

The extraordinary, young tenor, Alex Aldren, will join enSEmble26 for a one off performance of one of Vaughan Williams’ greatest works, On Wenlock Edge, with music set to the evocative poems from A. E. Housman‘s 1896 collection A Shropshire Lad. The programme will also include Vaughan Williams’ most loved ‘The Lark Ascending’ inspired by the poem of the same name by George Meredith. We are excited to be joined by Susie Riddell of The Archerswho will read an excerpt from the poem. We will also have the wonderful artist Pippa Stacy with an exhibition of some of her art work on sale at the end of the concert. It’s going to be a beautiful evening! Tickets available here.

In December we will also be collaborating with local spoken word artists to create a truly original concert. A week later, on the 18th December we will be performing our wonderful Christmas by Candlelight concert and we are really excited to be putting on some children’s concerts of the Snowman on the 20th December, just before Christmas!

We know that many of you are too far to attend all these concerts so we will be endeavouring to continue what we started with our online concerts. We will be releasing and presenting our final Beethoven Sonata, recorded in May, on November 21st at 7.30pm and will also release our lunchtime concert and The Trout Quintet concert before Christmas. We are hoping to continue to record and release all our concerts for those who live too far away or who are unable to attend in person.
